The History Of Dependency And Freedom

I want to tell you how we dealt

with freedom and dependency

in the course of human history.

It's a story by examples derived

from actions and perceptions

of fellow humans in the past.

A thousand years or a little less

Muslim Moors ruled parts of Spain

before they lost their grip and left

British Isles were controlled by France

for so long time, that most words

in English are of French descent

Some thought a new India was found,

decided that the land was theirs

and called the inhabitants Indians.

Their descendants stopped the theft

for where they departed, rebelled

and kept what they stole for themselves.

Many more stories are there to tell

and there’s no perfect formula yet

for a path to lasting independence.
