Shalom or Salam?

When these two cousins greet or salute

they both say may peace be with you

Shalom Aleichem

Salam Alekhum

But in spite of their common ancestry

and their genuine wish to be just and good,

theyre made to believe they are enemies,

causing distress on the planet both see

as where the maker mixed dust with divinity,

and set peace as objective and love as a tool,

but with manuals appearing too complex to use
