Fertile to Accept Atonement

Motionless and forgetting time,

in tear soaked days of sorrow,

numb and dumb, both deaf and blind,

for sensations causing pleasure,

till eyes are touched and forced to open,

to permit some precious beams of light,

to reach the bottom of a grieving mind,

made fertile to accept atonement,

enabling it to sense the world again

as a potentially pleasant place to dwell

to regain the chance for happy moments.
